Standard

I bind myself with ribbons of cruel words and barbed-wire strings.
Force gag into my mouth, swallow down a million things
I want to say.

Words are like hurricanes.
Whirling, turning, spinning out disaster,
Ripping limbs from homes and loves from lives,
The eye passing but a moment, then shredding skin like knives…
