Do you have an occasion you need to write something for and can’t think of the right words yourself? Maybe I can help you out!
Here’s some of the things I’ve written for people over the years:
Stories, like Beware, where a rough idea was given and I turned it into a poem that ended up as a Christmas gift.
Vows: wedding, apology, even odes to unwashed dishes, which you don’t need to read to know it was between housemates who didn’t want a cleaning rota.
Haiku gift tags; usually these are themed, and are written on to the backs of gift tags, used for secret santa-style gift giving.
Bridesmaid gifts, where I provided poems that were then embroidered on to keepsakes.
In short, whatever you want a poem for!
Now, I know what you’re thinking; how can a complete stranger write poetry specifically for me, when the only thing they know about me is that I want a poem writing? Well. I won’t point out which ones, but if you’re here, it’s probably because you’ve read some of my poems. And if you’ve read some of my poems, then you should know that a good amount of them are not about me, are not written from my perspective at all. Some have been written from the point of view of some of my favourite characters in various fandoms. Others have been inspired totally from reading a news article. And others still, purely from overhearing peoples’ conversations, hearing a word or phrase I like and just going with it.
The question is, what do you want a poem for?
I should probably mention that I’m not willing to take on homework assignments for people, and I’d rather not do any sort of revenge poetry (aside from my own 😉). But other than that, tell me what you’re looking for and we’ll work something out. I promise I won’t charge a fortune; drop me an email and we’ll discuss needs and costs.
